Blog Readers The New Post Subscription Is Now Available

Most of the time, I tried to leave a photo with each post. So today, I thought the field filled with dandelions could be related to this post.

A feature I did not have on my Living in Aurora blog when I changed over to the WordPress platform was the subscription to new posts option and comment follow-up subscription. The subscription to new posts via email is a one-line form on the top right column. You always have an option to unsubscribe. The subscribe to comments is for those who leave a comment. First, leave a comment and then under the editor, you can choose to be notified of other comments via email.

Sorry it took a while, but WordPress is a bit different than Blogger. Personally, I like subscriptions and I use them a lot. I don’t have to think about what blog I missed while doing my visitations. Yes, I like to visit and leave a trace, meaning a comment sometimes.

I started blogging in 2007 and since then, I have had no second thoughts about quitting. The Living in Aurora blog has been around since 2009 and was first launched with Blogger. Recently, in 2011, I changed over to WordPress.

Field of Dandelions, St. John’s Sideroad

Most of the time, I tried to leave a photo with each post. So today, I thought the field filled with dandelions could be related to this post. Meaning, I would love to have that many of you subscribed to my blog. Wishful thinking on my part, but it is always your choice.

As you can see, the dandelion season is in effect. I grew up with a lot of dandelions around our house. Domestic rabbits loved them. It was never a weed to me. They smell good too.

Hi Anna, I’ll admit that I read many posts for the blogs I follow in my feed reader. Your posts only show the first sentence or so, and sometimes if time is tight, I don’t click through to get the rest. Maybe that’s because of your change to WordPress? I hope you are enjoying the new format. I hear that it is better than blogger, although since I’m a creature of habit, I’m not likely to move any time soon. PS – I’ll be a dandelion. Subscribing right now.

Hey Corrie, thanks so much for being the dandelion, lol. Appreciate your comment, and my forget-me-nots are now spreading. They are getting smart too, they never cross to the neighbour, lol, I guess they learned from last time, lol, or she’s been pulling them out again. Yes, WordPress has much more flexibility. I don’t know why it would not take the feed on your side, something others came forward with, maybe it’s my theme. I still maintain my very first blogs on blogger, like you, not ready to change. Thanks again.
