Enjoy Your Victoria Day Weekend In Aurora, He Did

Undecided, we have decided to hang out at the Aurora Farmers Market.

Today turned out to be a very beautiful day. The sun was very strong and hot. Oh, it’s about time. Undecided, we have decided to hang out at the Aurora Farmers Market and indulge in something. That something was sweet and salty popping popcorn, and I want to know nothing about the ingredients. It was really good.

We picked up a small-sized bag, still big. A man in the booth asked us – what flavour would you like to see here? I answered for my husband, ‘chocolate’. He thought about it, and said that is not a bad idea at all.

Well, for the time being, I suggest that he sells his niche popcorn. If he is going to bring new flavours, his costs are going to go up, he will have to have inventory, maybe an extra hand. I say don’t do it just yet. Sell your ‘really good popcorn’.

Look Out On St. John’s Sideroad and Gateway Drive, Town of Aurora

I took this photo while we were coming home. I snapped it from the car. The subject was him, but when I got home, I saw what he saw. Enjoy your weekend, everyone.

Nice to have that one HOT day, but I wonder when all this rain is going to end? I’m off to the Schomberg Fair Smash-up Derby tonight…. WOOHOO!

As I reflect on my experiences as a resident engaged in municipal politics, I find myself often swept up in the currents of past political moments. These reflections aren't just about policies or decisions but about the broader shifts in how we've navigated civic life. The sense of nostalgia isn't just for the times when things felt simpler, but for a period when political engagement seemed more direct, more personal. As someone actively involved in the shifting dynamics of municipal issues, I often find myself questioning where the passion and clarity of earlier days have disappeared—and whether today's politics can ever reclaim that same sense of purpose.
