St. John’s Sideroad, The East View

Changes on the horizon; however, more to come. This is a view from the highest point on St. John’s sideroad just East of Bathurst Street. Visible are three regional roads, Yonge Street, Bayview Avenue, and right behind the cell tower is the Leslie Street.

As I reflect on my experiences as a resident engaged in municipal politics, I find myself often swept up in the currents of past political moments. These reflections aren't just about policies or decisions but about the broader shifts in how we've navigated civic life. The sense of nostalgia isn't just for the times when things felt simpler, but for a period when political engagement seemed more direct, more personal. As someone actively involved in the shifting dynamics of municipal issues, I often find myself questioning where the passion and clarity of earlier days have disappeared—and whether today's politics can ever reclaim that same sense of purpose.
