Second Aurora’s Multicultural Festival 2017, Successful

It turned out to be a beautiful day for the 2nd annual Aurora’s Multicultural Festival on September 9th, 2017. This year held at the Town Park with many performances from different cultures (Chinese Collective Arts Association, Japanese Drumming Nagata Shachu, Fuego Flamenco Dance Ensemble, Cora Italia Toronto, MECUDA (Cameroon), South Asian-Panwar Music and Dance Productions, Royal Scottish Country Dance Society, Toronto Branch, and Mi Young Kim Korean Dance Company).

The Town of Aurora Multicultural Festival is progressively growing. Sometimes success is not instant and few attempts are necessary until success. During the Aurora 150 celebrations in 2013 the multicultural festival seed was planted at the Ada Johnson Park. It was raining that day, unfortunately.

However, rain is always good for the seeds. Few years passed. Then the seed finally germinated in 2016 at the same park, Ada Johnson Park. It was sunny and it rained throughout the day. But rain is good for the roots, that’s what they say. This year we got the stem growing. Leaves, flowers and fruit will result in the near future. Well done #AuroraON.
