Petch House, My First Visit

Stay tuned for an update on my experience of life in the early 1800s.

In a couple of days, I will explore the insides of the Petch House located on Leslie Street in the Town of Aurora, and I will be allowed to take some pictures thanks to Friends of Petch House. Stay tuned for an update on my experience of life in the early 1800s. It’s too bad that someone already lived there, and not everything is original, but I am still excited. My first visit was about a week ago. I walked around and took a few nice pictures. The front has the Flying Club sign – it kind of stood out, because it just did not belong there in my photo.

My curiosity doesn’t come with all the answers—it comes with a genuine desire to understand and to connect. At the heart of it, I care. I care about how communities grow, how conversations unfold, and how we make space for different perspectives—even when it’s uncomfortable. I don’t claim to have it all figured out. But I keep asking. I keep listening.
